My Academic Interests
My main interests are in ethics, political philosophy, and what might be called "normative public policy" or "ethics and public policy." I am especially interested in utilitarian theory and distributive justice, particularly as they are applied to concrete political and policy issues.
My most recent academic writing was my "preliminary essay," which is the final paper a student in our department submits before proposing his or her dissertation. It is titled "A Case for a Replacing the Difference Principle with a Floor Constraint in Rawlsian Distributive Justice." I am currently completing a dissertation proposal.
I'll be elaborating more on this in the near future.
