I have two albums by Les McCann, Swiss Movement, and The Shout. I'll put up the liner notes and some scans when I get a chance. I haven't yet looked to see what else is already up, if anything.
Like most of my favorite albums, these two are actually my mom's records. They were probably bought by her first husband back when they were just coming out. A few months ago, I was at the Jazz Record Mart on the Northside of Chicago, being amazed by the high cost of 45s, when I noticed Swiss Movement on the CD listening station. I put on the headphones, selected track one, and then proceeded to laugh out loud when I heard the song. It wasn't that funny (I couldn't really understand all the words yet), but my joy at hearing this long lost classic from somewhere back in my childhood wasn't to be contained. I knew we had this album, but forgot that "Compared to What" was on there! Trully an amazing song. I'm putting up the lyrics, but I'm not sure of all of them, so if you know of it already out there somewhere, let me know.
